The work to support California studying the purpose and benefits of an ECE Workforce Registry became a component of CDTC’s contract in 2010-2011. In 2011-2012 CDTC continued to support monthly meetings convened by the Early Education and Support Division to explore what other states are doing around a registry and how this interfaces with other data collection efforts. A goal of the Planning Committee was to develop an informational paper on the benefits and purpose of a registry. The paper was shared in various venues to assist the field with learning about a registry.
