1) Eligible students must be pursuing a career in early childhood or child development, or seeking a child development permit.
2) Only the majors listed on the online application meet eligibility requirements. This major must be reported on the student’s transcripts.
3) Students must meet ONE of the following requirements:
Students must work in an early childhood setting. Employment must be with an eligible employer; nannies, family, friends and neighbors who care for children are not eligible .
Students must be taking a practicum course/Student Teaching Course at the college they are applying for the grant.
Students must be enrolled in at least two core Child Development/Early Childhood Education courses (As defined in the course requirement for the Associate Teacher Child Development permit which is part of your educational plan.)

Receipt of ESG (Education Support Grant) funds may have tax implications. If funds are awarded you will want to consult a tax advisor.
